TackyShirt Presents: Mac OS X - The Dock

On this project I was Director, Editor, Graphic Artist, Post Production Supervisor, and came up with the whole concept. This clip is entirely too long for a “demo reel” but I think you’ll find that once you start watching you can’t stop.

I created TackyShirt, Inc. to produce educational videos in a way that keeps the viewer engaged and stimulated. Mission accomplished. Unfortunately, on the very day that I got the DVD from the printers and started selling them, Apple updated the Mac OS and my shelf life was immediately compromised. Tale of woe aside though, I’m very proud of this work and hope one day to get back to it.

This video is one of 16 that was put out on the DVD, 4 hours in all. On this project, post production was distributed to 16 different video editors in almost as many states all collaborating using Internet technology in a process I created myself. It was extremely complicated and I think if I could have got it broadcast, it would have been worthy of an Emmy in educational programming.

I do have to give props to 3rd Light Digital Media who created the opening title sequence. I can’t take credit for the dancing Tiki. =)
