Confidence Bay’s mobile editing suite allows for a change in process previously only dreamed about. Footage can be delivered to the bay on tape immediately after shooting, or fed directly from the camera into the RAID array.

The editorial process happens as the project progresses. Problems with footage are found early and solutions implemented on an ongoing basis. Editors import the footage as soon as it’s available so dailies can be viewed much sooner than traditionally possible. Circle takes are organized with detailed notes throughout the shoot and a rough cut of the project is assembled as the footage is being acquired.

In many cases a rough cut can be nearly complete by the time the last scene is shot. Additionally, with Confidence Bay’s exclusive media window and projector, daily footage can be shown inside privately or outside publicly to the whole crew.
